Boo At Knockoff Volks!

I got an email from Phillip over at Mackin Industries a few months back and I saved it in my inbox because I knew I would be launching this project in the soon to be future. So here we are, the goods in question:

Did you notice how it says “VORK” and “RAVS” instead of “VOLK” and “RAYS?” Now I don’t blame these guys for trying to make a nice copy of the wheels, but as soon as they tried to replicate the branding that comes from Rays, they crossed the line. It’s bad enough that these guys are making them, but if anyone is caught rocking these things, their wheels should be repo’ed on the spot! And by repo I mean taken off the car, drenched in lighter fluid, and torched! You can’t call yourself a true car enthusiast if you have these on your cars.

In the email, Phillip states that it is exactly situations such as these that warrant Mackin Industries not to sell replacement stickers. So for all you people rocking your VORKS or RAVS, don’t ask shops or Mackin Industries for new stickers because it aint gonna happen! Instead, sell your wheels, learn from your mistakes, and pickup something else. Or for gosh sake, at least take off the hideous decals. Trust me, you will save yourself the humiliation of being caught with these forgeries.
